After she already performed at the festival Nordischen Klang 2003 with the band Jazz Do It! 20 years ago, we are happy to see Sofia Rubina in Greifswald again.
Sofia Rubina not only plays with jazz traditions in her songs, but is also equally at home in pop, soul and electro. She also does not  says no to collaborations with DJs, moving the bodies and souls of her international audience with energy and elegance.
She has already given concerts in Finland, Italy, Panama, China and even at New York's Blue Note Club. This year sees the release of her album I Am Soul, which combines soul with elements of modern jazz.

Gangar

Gangar ist eine Folk-Rock-Band, deren wilde, innovative Musik euch noch lange in Erinnerung bleiben wird. Inspiriert von Bands wie AC/DC und Hoven Droven arrangieren sie traditionelle Instrumentalstücke und Lieder und machen so das älteste norwegische Folk-Repertoire zugänglich für ein buntes Publikum. Dem Folk- und Tanzmusik-Hintergrund von Frontman und Fiedler Mattias Thedens mischen die anderen Bandmitglieder eine Breite an Genres bei – unter anderem Jazz, Funk, Pop, Soul und viel Heavy Metal. Kombiniert mit einer elektrisierenden Bühnenshow liefert Gangar ein mitreißendes musikalisches Erlebnis, das es dem Publikum schwer machen wird, die Füße still zu halten!

Gangar is a folk-rock band whose wild, innovative music will stay with you for a long time. Inspired by bands like AC/DC and Hoven Droven, they rearrange traditional instrumentals and songs, making the oldest Norwegian folk repertoire accessible to a diverse audience. The folk and dance music background of frontman and fiddler Mattias Thedens mixes with a breadth of genres of the other band members, including jazz, funk, pop, soul and plenty of heavy metal. Combined with an electrifying stage show, Gangar delivers a rousing musical experience that will make it hard for the audience to keep their feet still!
