Awareness

Currently, we are working on establishing an Awareness Team. As soon as we are ready, we will be sharing all information with you here.

Barrier reduction

We try to break down barriers to enable as many people as possible to take part in various events.

Some events and offers are free of charge for visitors/participants or we try to offer a three-tier admission system: Discounted - Regular - Soli. Here, visitors decide for themselves what price they pay. We try to estimate in advance which entrance fee we will leave the evening with plus-minus zero, which is our middle point (regular). The cheaper option is intended to enable people who have less money at their disposal to still be able to take part in events. People who (can) pay the higher price cushion the difference to the regular entrance fee and help us to maintain this offer.
(You do not have to justify your decision at the entrance and we do not want to see any proof (student ID or similar)).

There is a ramp at the main entrance. The garden is accessible via a ramp (and a small detour) at the café.

The second floor is also accessible via an elevator.

There are all-gender toilets and a wheelchair-accessible toilet with changing table for babies/toddlers.

Rooms and routes to the various rooms in the building are signposted. The respective rooms are also signposted, plus braille.

In general, support materials such as weighted blankets and cushions, noise-canceling headphones, earplugs and stim toys are available in the building to support neurodivergent people when participating in events.

(Limited) beanbags are available as alternative seating.

A wheelchair without electric drive can also be borrowed for events. If required, please contact us in advance.

We often offer a quiet room for larger events (parties, concerts, etc.).

All these things are generally available. However, it is possible that we sometimes forget to prepare/provide things or that they are used elsewhere in the house. If you are missing something, please contact us and we will try to find a solution.

The implementation of barrier removal is supported by Kultur Land MV and funded by the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
