Caspar David Friedrich was born250 years ago in Greifswald, the son of a soap maker. His paintings would make him one of the most important representatives of German Romanticism. On this evening, Jan Tim Schmidt reads letters by Caspar David Friedrich and, together with Alan Newcombe, sets them in dialog with the music of Johannes Brahms.
