The Road to Yrji

Stage play and discussion with Mariia Lisovska/Мария Лисовская.

(In English with German superscriptions.)

Yrij is a mythical land — a place where there is no winter, no pain, no aggression, and no sorrow.
The Road to Yrij” is a poetic journey through memories, identity, and hope. Based on personal writings, Ukrainian literature, and traditional songs, this monodrama creates a moving collage of experiences and emotions about war and trauma passed down through generations of women, from grandmother to grandchild.

Mariia Lisovska grew up in Ukraine and now lives in Wrocław (Poland). She has a degree in directing and works as a director and actress, as well as in various fields outside her professional sphere.

After the performance, at around 6 pm, there will be an opportunity to talk to Mariia Lisovska about the themes of the play.

Doors open: 4.30 pm
Start: 5 pm
Admission: free; Donations welcome

The play will be performed in English with German superscriptions.
