Our sword is called love Texts from the Iranian protest movement with Paula Dieckmann and Joris Löschburg
Since the death of Jina Mahsa Amini in 2022, Iran has been in a state of ongoing uprising. A revolutionary movement has emerged in protest, openly challenging the regime. Women are at the center of this movement: they are removing their veils and demanding freedom, justice, and equality. Despite violence, arrests, executions, and censorship, the resistance remains unmistakable. The reading gives space to important voices of the opposition – voices that remain un silenced despite censorship, violence, and repression.
