As part of the action weeks against racism, the Bürgerhafen is offering a choir workshop for intercultural singing.
Under the direction of Berlin-based Cultural Studies expert, singer, and choir director Nora Zender (einfachsingen.org), people who love to sing, with or without a history of flight or migration, are warmly invited to form an international weekend choir — because few things bring us together as quickly as the universal language of music. We will learn simple 1-3 part songs in their original languages from various regions of the world and also explore the history and origins of the songs. The focus of the workshop is on the joy of singing together and appreciating the diversity of sounds from cultures around the world. No knowledge of music notation is required, everyone is welcome! When registering, participation on all 3 days is required.
