Hope of a Butterfly

An exhibition from Eylül Aydin about hope and the fight for life, making the experiences of a refugee story visible

"Open your eyes, open your hearts and listen to this voice! You will see the color of this voice and hear its sounds. Go even closer, maybe what you see and hear is your own color and voice....

In this exhibition you will see the impact of the struggle to live in another country, for the people who had to leave their country for any reason. My goal is not to focus on sadness by means of my works, but on hope and the struggle for life.

This struggle means not losing hope despite your experiences. I developed this exhibition on behalf of people with a history of flight to show that you are not alone and to make visible to others what I have experienced." - Eylül Aydin about the exhibition

Location: corridors on the STRAZE upper floor.
Admission: free
Opening hours: Sunday through Wednesday from 2-6 p.m. (and during opening hours accompanying events).

The picture descriptions of the exhibition are in German, English, Arabic, Kurdish and Turkish.

This project is supported by the Action Fund of the Partnerschaft für Demokratie Greifswald.
