An excellent film. With a tension that comes from the soul of people who have little chance in life. A film about loneliness, loss and the desire for love - a masterful plea for humanity. Drama / DE 2022 / Director: Th. Stuber / 120 min / Original (German) version / audio description and subtitles: Greta App / PG12
These are quiet encounters on the outskirts of the city that, away from the city lights, allow us to forget the heaviness of everyday life for a moment.Night after night, the inconspicuous return to the places of their longing: snack bar owner Jens (Albrecht Schuch) falls in love with his neighbor Aischa (Lilith Stangenberg) over a night-time cigarette in the stairwell, while security guard Erik (Charly Hübner) develops feelings for young Marika (Irina Starshenbaum) on his routine tour of the hostel for foreigners. Cleaner Christa (Martina Gedeck) also seeks solace alongside hairdresser Birgitt (Nastassja Kinski) at the end of her shift.Three stories, one common wish: a spark of love, a touch of affection and a feeling of security.
