The Spanish texts will be read by their authors Mariola Merino and Erica F. Alio-Warr, while the German texts are by well-known German authors. The music and lyrics will also be composed by the performer Erica Alio-Warr herself.Get ready for a bilingual literary and musical evening in the STRAZEbiergarten. Erica F. Alio-Warr (Amónada Zenón, 1972, Argentina) is a qualified literary translator, English teacher and holds a degree in educational management. She also studied singing, composition and choral conducting. In 2002, she was invited to Austria as a private student of the former vice-director of the Vienna State Opera, Hubert Deutsch. For several seasons she performed as a singer and songwriter in various cities in Europe and America. She has lived in Germany since 2007, where she worked as a therapist and lecturer at the University of Greifswald for over a decade. In 2015, she founded her own institute where she focuses on the therapeutic application of the creative arts. As an author, her multicultural and multidisciplinary background is reflected in each of her works, be it fiction, educational texts, bilingual stories or musical pieces.
Mariola Merino (Spain, 1975) is a philologist and has a master's degree in translation. She teaches Spanish as a foreign language at the University of Applied Sciences in Stralsund and at the University of Greifswald, where she has lived since 2008. She has also translated several novels from English and German into Spanish and published a book of poems and short stories in Spanish entitled "Poemas, cuentos y demás inventos". Her passions are books, knitting and watercolor painting, among other things.
