The exhibition “Pigments of Pomerania” by Julia Żmuda shows textile compositions that have been dyed or woven using regional materials.
The motifs depicted refer to the folklore, fauna, and flora of the Pomeranian region and highlight the similarities on both sides of the border. The natural coloring techniques invite the viewer to focus their attention on a simplified view of their surroundings, concentrating mainly on their color scheme. Illustrative forms are mixed with abstract representations, inviting viewers to answer the question “What is Pomerania?” for themselves.
Exhibition hours: September 10 to September 17, 2025, daily from 2 to 8 pm in the course room (after that, it will continue until October 31 in the hallways on the upper floor of STRAZE).
Exhibition opening: September 11, 2025, 6 pm, with musical accompaniment by Niklas Bladt (piano) and Stephan Busse (double bass).
Interactive activity and discussion with the artist: September 12, 2025, 6 pm.
The exhibition is part of the 1st ID:Pomerania Festival “ROŚNIJ RAZEM - ZUSAMMEN WACHSEN - GROW TOGETHER” within the framework of the ID: Pomerania project, funded by the Interreg VI A Cooperation Program Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania / Brandenburg / Poland 2021–2027.
